The Church

Welcome to The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel & Shrine of Saint Valentine, simply known by locals as Whitefriar Street Church.

Due to its location in the heart of Dublin and its history, Whitefriar Street Church has become a landmark of the city. It is home to Our Lady of Dublin and to the relics of St. Valentine. The church is run by the Irish Province of Carmelites. In-keeping with the contemplative tradition of the Carmelite Order, Whitefriar Street Church provides an oasis of prayerful silence in the midst of the bustling city.
