Calvary Shrine
Our Lord upon the Cross
The Calvary Shrine is to be found in the entrance hallway to the church coming in the main door from Aungier Street.
The scene depicts life size statues of Our Lord upon the Cross with his Mother and the disciple he loved looking up at him. At the foot of the Cross kneels Mary of Magdala.
The scene is raised up on a stone plinth before which people place their lighted candles.
